The Blue Jays are 1-8 and already 5.5 games back in the AL East despite not even playing their 10th game of the season yet. For almost everything good, bad, and in between in baseball, you can say, “well, it’s just April,” but there are exceptions to that, and the Jays are right up against one of those exceptions. Three teams have begun their seasons 1-7 and still ended up making it to the postseason: the 1974 Pirates, the 1995 Reds, and the 2011 Rays.
Last year, the world saw several players fall down the draft board in the first round, most notably Laremy Tunsil, Paxton Lynch, Robert Nkemdiche and Laquon Treadwell. Other predicted first-rounders like Myles Jack, A’Shawn Robinson, Jarran Reed and Reggie Ragland fell out of the first round entirely.
While players who aren’t graded as highly by mock drafters (think Taylor Decker, Keanu Neal, and Artie Burns from last year’s class) come off the board, I expect one of these three Wholesale Jerseys From China players — more likely Thomas or Allen — to drop past the 10th overall pick.
